IowaLUG was present and provided an activity area for this years Blank Children's Hospital Festival of Trees and Lights.
One of our favorite events to date was the Festival of Trees and Lights last year. We really enjoyed our time throughout the week, sharing the activity area and watching the creativity and imagination of all the builders come out in brick.
We were proud to be invited back again for this year's festival. This year we had about twice the table space to accomodate even more builders and creations. With support from the LEGO Community Event and Engagement team we provided a number of small LEGO sets that were awarded each day to the most accurate guesses in a "How many pieces in the Vase" challenge. The Vase in question was the Danish flag vase designed and built by our very own Scott Bowman. The vase and several other creations from a few of our members were displayed on our own table in amongs the Trees and Lights.
We had another fantastic year at this event and we look forward to the next one!
